Public-side Café before security at Sarajevo Airport

This simple “Café” sits in the public area of Sarajevo International Airport, before security and Terminal B passport control. It works for meeting someone off a flight or killing 30–40 minutes while you wait for check‑in to open. Expect basic Bosnian coffee, espresso drinks, soft drinks, and a short list of snacks rather than full meals.

Because it’s pre-security, you can access the Café even if you’re not flying the same day or if your airline check‑in counters for B haven’t opened yet. Prices sit in the mid-airport range for Sarajevo: coffee usually under €3, soft drinks around €2–3, and simple pastries or packaged snacks a bit higher than in town. You can pay in Bosnian convertible marks or by card, but small amounts of cash speed things up.

Food is limited to light bites: think croissants, basic pastries, and packaged chips or chocolate rather than hot dishes or made‑to‑order sandwiches. If you want a proper meal before a flight out of B, you’re better off eating in Sarajevo city and using the Café only for a last coffee or bottle of water. Seating runs to small tables and chairs right off the public concourse, so you stay close to the check‑in desks and arrivals doors.

Because the Café is in the public zone, it can get busy around the morning and early afternoon bank of departures when multiple check‑in counters for B open at the same time. Turnover is quick, and most people sit for 15–20 minutes at most. There’s no guarantee of plentiful power outlets at every seat, so don’t count on doing serious laptop work here.

Tip: grab your drink here if you arrive more than 2 hours before departure, then clear security for Terminal B once your airline’s check‑in counter opens and finish any last-minute snacking airside.
