Wings

Gate-side bar food in Terminal 1, right by security

In Los Cabos International’s Terminal 1, Wings sits airside just past security and pulls a rare 5-star rating for airport bar food. It’s a straightforward sit-down spot: TV screens on with sports, full bar pouring Mexican beers and tequila, and a menu built around burgers, wings, and sandwiches you can recognize at a glance.

Wings runs through typical departure hours for Terminal 1 flights, opening in the morning for early departures and staying open into the evening bank, so you can usually grab something before the last northbound flights. Expect airport pricing: think mid-range for a burger and fries with a drink, higher than downtown San José del Cabo but in line with other SJD options inside security.

The menu leans American bar and grill with some local overlap: chicken wings in multiple sauces, burgers with add-ons like bacon and jalapeños, plus basic tacos and nachos that work as a quick pre-boarding meal at T1. Portions are solid enough that one main dish typically covers a single hungry traveler; splitting an appetizer and a main works if you’re trying to keep the bill in check.

Service at Wings in Terminal 1 generally moves at “Mexico airport” speed, not a 10‑minute dash. With a 60–90 minute pre-boarding window you’ll be fine, but if your flight boards in under 30 minutes, stick to something fast like wings, fries, or chips and salsa rather than a full burger and extra round of drinks.

Tip: check your gate number on the screens near T1 security before you sit; Wings is most convenient if your flight leaves from the central or nearby gates, and you want at least 10–15 minutes of walking and boarding buffer once you ask for the check.
