Gate-side Snack Bar in Terminal 1 keeps it simple

This Snack Bar sits airside in Terminal 1 at Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), handy if you’re flying Interjet-era routes or other T1 carriers and just want something quick near the gates. It’s past security, so you won’t need to pad arrival time on top of the usual 90–120 minutes for international departures.

The place reviews surprisingly well, with a 5-star rating in airport listings despite being a basic counter service setup. Think grab-and-go over sit-down: packaged snacks, pastries, and light bites that work when boarding starts in 20–30 minutes and you don’t have time for a full restaurant in Terminal 2.

Drinks focus on bottled water, soft drinks, and simple coffee options rather than craft cocktails or elaborate espresso menus. Prices track typical airport markups, so plan on paying more than in town in San José del Cabo, but less than a full meal at one of the larger restaurants in the other terminal.

Expect counter ordering only, with no table service and very limited seating near the stand. That setup works if you just need something you can carry to your gate, especially for early-morning departures before 09:00, when some larger venues in SJD are still spinning up.

Service tends to be quick since the menu stays short and food is mostly ready to hand over. You’re looking at a 3–5 minute stop for a drink and snack instead of the 20–30 minutes a sit-down restaurant in Terminal 2 might take once you factor in the check.

Practical tip: grab water and a snack here in Terminal 1 before boarding; on many short hops out of SJD, in-flight options run limited or sell out by the time row 20 gets a chance.
