Hongqiao Railway Station Parking

Intermodal

Five minutes on foot from Hongqiao Railway Station, this intermodal parking area lines up directly with the airport–rail hub. Hongqiao Railway Station Parking sits between Shanghai Hongqiao’s T2 and the high-speed rail concourse, so it works well if you’re flying in or out of T2 and swapping to a G‑train. It’s a standard surface and structured car park mix, not a premium valet setup.

Signs for “P Hongqiao Railway Station” appear on S20 and Yingbin No. 1 Road roughly 1 km before the turnoff, so have your lane choice sorted early. The car park connects indoors to both the railway station and the T2 terminal area via walkways, which beats dragging bags across busy roads. If your flight leaves from T1, factor in at least a 10–15 minute transfer via the terminal shuttle or Metro Line 10.

Hourly pricing here typically runs cheaper than the terminal-front T1 and T2 car parks, especially once you cross the 4–6 hour mark. That’s why it’s the better call for day-trips and same-day rail–air combos. Payment machines near the exits take China UnionPay bank cards and major mobile wallets like Alipay and WeChat Pay, and some lanes still accept cash in RMB, but don’t count on foreign cards working.

This lot sees regular turnover from high-speed rail passengers arriving on CRH and Fuxing services, so morning peaks hit around the 08:00–10:00 train banks and again from 17:00–19:00. Spaces closest to the station elevators usually fill first. If you’re arriving in that window, go straight to the upper levels of the multi-storey section rather than circling ground level.

One practical tip: if you’re catching an early flight before 09:00 from T2, aim to park here 60–75 minutes before check-in cut-off. That buffer covers the short walk through the railway station concourse, a security queue spike, and a quick stop at departures.
