SASCO Duty Free

T2

Gate-side duty free in T2 when you’ve cleared immigration

SASCO Duty Free sits airside in Terminal T2 at Tan Son Nhat, past outbound immigration and security, so you hit it on the way to your international gate. Shelves lean heavily toward liquor and tobacco plus standard cosmetics and confectionery, with bottles lined up right next to the boarding zone. It’s the main duty free option once you’re stamped out, so factor a 5–10 minute browse into your walk to the gate if you care about prices.

Most spirits sit in the mid‑range: expect recognizable whisky and cognac labels priced in USD with occasional 1L promo twin-packs. Cigarette cartons are behind glass with clear duty free labeling, and staff handle the pull from the back. You’ll also see chocolate boxes sized for gifting and a few travel retail perfume SKUs that don’t show up in downtown Ho Chi Minh City shops. Card payments run through in VND but receipts usually show both VND and USD.

SASCO Duty Free opens for the first outbound banks in T2, roughly matching early-morning international departures around 05:00, and stays open until the last late-night flights. Stock tilts toward regional tastes, so you’ll see plenty of Korean, Japanese, and Australian passenger favorites on the shelves alongside Vietnamese coffee gift packs. If your gate is in the higher 20s, give yourself at least 8–10 minutes walking time after you pay.

Watch your duty free allowance on arrival: Vietnam typically allows 1.5 liters of spirits over 22% and 200 cigarettes per adult, and other countries on your itinerary may be stricter. If you’re transiting onward via another international hub, keep liquid limits in mind and ask staff to seal bags with the standard transparent STEB packaging. One tip: take a quick photo of receipts in case customs at your final stop questions values.
