Highlands Coffee

T1

Gate-side caffeine fix in T1 before domestic flights

Highlands Coffee in Terminal T1 sits airside in the domestic area, so you can grab a drink after security without backtracking. It runs on the usual Vietnam airport rhythm: early opening around the first departures and staying open into the late evening wave, roughly 6:00 to 22:00, though exact hours flex with flight banks.

A standard iced milk coffee (cà phê sữa đá) comes in around 45,000–60,000 VND, so cheaper than most international chains in SGN but higher than street cafes in District 1. Expect the familiar Highlands menu: phin coffee, lattes, freeze-style frappes, teas, and simple snacks like banh mi and cakes, all printed with clear prices in VND at the counter.

Seats are limited and close to T1 gates used by domestic carriers like Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet, so it fills up around the 7:00–9:00 and 17:00–20:00 banks. Turnover is quick, though, and many people take drinks to go, so standing a few minutes for a table is normal at those peak times.

Ice-blended “Freeze” drinks typically run 65,000–75,000 VND and are the safest bet if you want something cold and sweet before a short hop to Da Nang or Hanoi. Food is fine for a light bite, but portions are small for the price, so don’t count on this as your main meal before a longer domestic leg.

Payment is straightforward: Highlands in T1 accepts cash in VND and major cards, and small notes like 10,000 and 20,000 VND help speed things up when the queue reaches into the concourse. If your boarding pass shows a gate at the far end of T1, order in a to-go cup and walk it down; it’s about a 5–7 minute stroll to the end gates.
