Multi-storey Car Park T1

Long-stay

Everyone uses it as the T1 pickup point, few park long‑term

Multi-storey Car Park T1 sits directly across from the domestic terminal building at Tan Son Nhat (T1), and most locals know it as the easiest landmark for ride‑hail and family pickups rather than as long‑stay parking. The structure is a short walk from the T1 departures and arrivals doors, so you can drop bags at check‑in within about 3–5 minutes of locking your car. It serves only the domestic side; international flights run from T2 and the newer T3, both a longer walk or short taxi ride away.

This is a multi‑level concrete garage with ramp access, not an outdoor lot, so your car stays under cover from Saigon sun and rain for the whole stay. Signage on the approach road to T1 clearly marks the car park entrance, and you pull a ticket at the barrier gate on arrival. Payment on exit is usually by cash in VND at the booth; some drivers report card acceptance at other SGN facilities, but plan to pay cash here and keep smaller notes ready.

Pricing at SGN airport parking tends to be charged per hour with a cap for the day, and Car Park T1 follows that general pattern for long‑stay use, with higher rates than off‑airport private lots a few kilometres away. Because the building primarily supports short‑stay pickups and drop‑offs, expect tighter ramps and narrow spaces, especially on the lower floors closest to the terminal. If you’re leaving the car for several days, aim for a higher level to find more open slots and fewer drive‑throughs from constant pickup traffic.

There’s no direct covered connection from Car Park T1 to T2 or T3, so if you’re flying international, factor in a 5–10 minute walk outside or a brief taxi hop between terminals after you park. Best move: arrive 30 minutes earlier than you normally would, park on an upper level near a stairwell, take a quick photo of your floor and row, and then walk straight across to T1 check‑in or down to the curb to continue on to your actual terminal.
