International Terminal Parking Lot

Short-stay

Grab and hotel cars line up here for T2 arrivals

The International Terminal Parking Lot sits directly opposite T2 arrivals at Tan Son Nhat, across several lanes of traffic. It’s signed as short-stay parking, but most of the action is Grab, other ride-hail apps, and hotel cars looping through to pick up passengers. Expect a constant flow of 10–15 cars moving through the pickup lane at busy times, so keep your phone and booking details handy before you step in.

This is a short-stay car park with per-hour rates aimed at drop-offs and quick pickups rather than multi-day parking; locals rarely leave a car here overnight. International arrivals walk out of T2, cross the marked pedestrian area past the taxi queue, then continue to the multi-level structure used for ride-hailing. If you’re meeting a private driver, agree on the level or specific row in advance so you’re not searching through multiple decks.

Ride-hail users report typical Grab fares to central Ho Chi Minh City around 147,000 VND from this lot, plus a separate 9,000 VND airport parking or exit fee added at the barrier. Some drivers add that 9,000 VND as a cash-on-top charge, others roll it into the in-app fare. Check your app receipt before paying anything extra, and don’t be shy about asking the driver to explain the line items.

Regulars watch their driver icon in the app and only walk into the International Terminal Parking Lot once the car is within 1–2 minutes. The ride-hail pickup point is usually marked inside the car park, near the main flow of traffic, and standing right by that sign helps you spot your plate in the stream of cars. Peak evening arrivals from 18:00–21:00 are the most chaotic. One simple move: screenshot your car’s plate number and color before you leave Wi‑Fi in T2 so you’re not fumbling with roaming data in the lot.
