Parisian Cake and Coffee

T1

Gate-side caffeine fix in T1 before regional flights

Parisian Cake and Coffee sits airside in Terminal T1 at Yangon International, an easy stop if your flight goes out on the older regional side of the airport. It’s a small counter-format café, so think grab-and-go more than lingering with laptops. You’ll see it on the main concourse walking toward the T1 gates, usually within 5–10 minutes of most check-in counters.

Expect standard espresso drinks, simple brewed coffee, and sweet pastries at prices a bit above downtown Yangon but normal for RGN. A latte or cappuccino usually runs in the mid-USD $3–4 range equivalent, and cakes or slices often land in the $2–3 band. It’s all pay-at-the-counter with orders ready in a few minutes, which works for tight boarding calls.

The draw here is exactly what the name says: cake and coffee. Look for layered sponge cakes and mousse-style slices in the refrigerator case, plus smaller items like cookies or mini tarts. The coffee uses local beans with a darker roast profile, so an iced latte or iced Americano can be easier going than straight espresso in Yangon’s heat. Portions are modest, so two pastries for one person is not overkill if you skipped a meal.

There’s limited stool seating around high counters, maybe a dozen spots at most, and they turn over quickly during early-morning waves between about 06:00 and 09:00. Power outlets are scarce, and there’s no real sense of privacy, so treat it as a place to sip and scroll rather than set up a full work session. Staff usually calls out flights if gates change near departure time, but don’t rely on it.

Tip: if you need something in hand before immigration, grab a coffee here in T1 after security; options closer to some regional gates thin out and may close earlier in the evening after about 21:00.
