T2’s Myanmar Convenience Store sits just past security in RGN.
You’ll see it in Terminal T2 after security, in the main departures area, and it’s one of the few spots focused on local snacks at Yangon International Airport. It runs on typical flight-bank hours, opening early for morning departures and staying open into the late-night runs, so you can usually grab something even on the first or last flights of the day.
Price point sits firmly in the $ tier, so expect small packets of chips, candy, and instant noodles in the 1,000–3,000 MMK range, with some local sweets and biscuits a bit higher. Drinks run from standard bottled water and soft drinks to sweet Myanmar-style teas and canned coffees, generally under 3,000 MMK per item. It’s cheaper than most sit-down options in T2, and quicker than waiting at a full restaurant.
The stock leans local: think Myanmar-brand chips, tamarind candies, coconut sweets, and small bags of fried snacks you won’t find in a typical Western chain. You’ll also see basic travel needs like toothpaste, tissues, and phone cables, plus a small shelf of instant coffee and tea sachets. If you want something familiar, there are international chocolate bars and soda alongside the regional products.
Card acceptance is hit-or-miss across Yangon shops, so bring a few thousand kyat in cash for this store; some travelers report smaller stalls in T2 struggling with foreign cards. Portions tend to be snack-sized, so don’t plan this as a full meal the way you might plan a stop at a sit-down place in T1 or T3.
Tip: if you have a tight connection inside T2, stop here first after security for water and snacks so you can stay near your gate when boarding starts at about T-40 minutes.
