Krispy Kreme

T1

Gate-side sugar fix in T1 before early departures

This Krispy Kreme sits airside in Yangon’s Terminal T1, handy if you want something fast before boarding regional flights. It runs through typical airport hours, roughly matching the first and last departures out of T1, so you can usually grab a box before a 7:00 flight or a coffee on a late evening hop to Bangkok.

You get the usual menu: original glazed, chocolate iced, and a rotating mix of filled doughnuts sold individually or by the dozen. Prices land above downtown Yangon outlets, but still reasonable for an airport, with single doughnuts typically under USD 2 when converted from kyat. Expect basic coffee drinks rather than a full café lineup, so think hot coffee and maybe a latte, not a full barista menu.

Because it’s inside security in T1, this Krispy Kreme works best once you’ve cleared immigration and screening and are waiting near your gate. Doughnuts come pre-made and boxed, so service is quick even when multiple flights board around the same time. It’s grab-and-go: limited seating, mostly a counter and a few small tables, and you’ll often end up eating at the gate itself.

If you’re connecting between T1, T2, and T3, remember they sit in separate buildings, and you won’t easily pop back here from T2 or T3 for a last-minute box. The doughnuts travel fine on short flights to Bangkok, Singapore, or Kuala Lumpur, but the glazing softens in Myanmar heat after an hour or two. For the best texture, eat within 30–45 minutes of purchase.

Tip: buy a single original glazed first; if they’re still warm from a recent batch, that’s the moment to spring for a half-dozen for the flight.
