T2 $$$$ Post-security

Right after security in T2, KFC is the familiar option.

This KFC sits airside in Terminal 2 at Yangon International Airport, so you’re already past security when you see the red signage. It’s standard fast food American-style chicken, with prices in the lowest tier for the airport, roughly in the “$” range compared with other RGN spots.

Menu is the usual KFC lineup: fried chicken pieces, burgers, chicken wraps, fries, and soft drinks. Portions match what you’d expect from a city branch, not a downsized airport kiosk, and combo meals generally come in well under typical sit-down restaurant prices in T2. If you just need something quick between gates in T2 or heading out on a late evening flight, this is the fastest recognizable option.

Turnaround time is usually only a few minutes from order to tray, which matters at Yangon where boarding for regional flights can start 30–40 minutes ahead. Because it’s post-security, you can grab food and still be within a short walk of most T2 gates instead of backtracking to landside cafes.

Quality is “airport KFC”: chicken is usually hot and crisp, fries are hit-or-miss if they’ve been under the heat lamp more than 10–15 minutes. The safe plays are standard fried chicken pieces and the basic chicken burger; sides like fries and coleslaw are fine as filler but not the reason to stop here. Drinks include fountain soda and bottled water at typical chain pricing for Myanmar airports.

Tip: if your flight leaves from a bus gate in T2, order to go and eat near the gate area; boarding calls at RGN T2 can be announced only once and start earlier than you’d expect.
