Cafe Corner

T1

Gate-side caffeine stop in T1 with simple snacks

Right in Yangon International’s Terminal T1, Cafe Corner sits in the main departures area and works as a basic coffee-and-snack stop before regional flights. Expect a short menu: espresso drinks, tea, soft drinks, and a few pre-made pastries or small bites. It’s more grab-and-go than sit-down dining, so think quick top-up rather than a full meal.

Hours tend to track T1’s first and last departures, roughly early morning into late evening, so you can usually get a coffee before those 07:00–09:00 banks and after the 20:00 flights. Pricing lands in standard airport territory: hot drinks cost more than in central Yangon, but still reasonable by international-airport standards. Cash in Myanmar kyat is safest, though some cards work when the terminal is online.

Seating at Cafe Corner is minimal, with a few small tables close to the counter in T1, so plan to take your drink back toward your gate if the area fills up around peak departures. The food case usually holds simple items like sweet pastries or basic sandwiches, but selection can thin out later in the evening after 21:00. Treat it as a backup snack stop if you missed eating before security.

Coffee quality varies a bit from barista to barista, but the safer picks are straightforward drinks: hot Americano, black tea, or canned soft drinks from the fridge. Skip anything that looks like it has been sitting in the case for hours; in Myanmar’s heat, even inside air-conditioned T1, freshness drops fast. You won’t find vegetarian labels, so ask directly if that matters to you.

One practical tip: if you want both a drink and time for the restroom in T1 before boarding, order at Cafe Corner first, then carry everything to the seating near your specific gate so you can watch boarding status on the nearby screen.
