Prepaid SIMs and top-ups right after security near T1

Just past security in Terminal T1, Boutique inwi is the airport branch of Morocco’s inwi mobile network, handy if you land without a local SIM. It sits on the airside concourse before most food outlets, so you can sort data before coffee or boarding at a nearby A-gate.

Staff sell inwi prepaid SIM cards that work across Morocco, typically with data packages starting around a few gigabytes for the price of a cheap airport snack. You can also pay cash in MAD or use a standard credit card for SIMs and recharge, which helps if ATMs in the terminal are busy or offline.

The shop focuses on telecom: SIMs, eSIM support on some newer phones, top-up vouchers, and basic accessories like charging cables and low-cost earbuds. No need to hunt downtown; plans activated here usually include enough data for maps, ride-hailing apps, and messaging from RAK into central Marrakesh and back.

Hours track daytime departures from T1 and T3, roughly morning through late evening, but don’t bank on overnight coverage after the last flights. Staff generally set up the SIM on your phone in a few minutes, though peak bank times near major departures can add a short queue. If your phone is eSIM-capable, ask first and save the physical SIM slot for another trip.

Tip: bring your passport to Boutique inwi; Moroccan SIM registration rules often require an ID check at purchase.
