Chili’s

90-minute pre-flight wait? Chili’s in Terminal A is where people camp.

Chili’s sits airside in Terminal A at Puerto Vallarta International Airport, just past security and a short walk from most A and B gates. It’s one of the few full sit-down spots here, so it fills up fast when multiple afternoon departures stack up. Expect typical US Chili’s branding and menu, just with peso pricing and a slightly slower airport pace.

The main draw is the full bar. You’ll see plenty of draft beers, house margaritas, and basic mixed drinks lined up on the counter from about 10:00 to 21:00, tracking the heavier departure banks. Prices run higher than in town but in line with airport norms: think 120–180 MXN for beer and 180–260 MXN for cocktails. If you want a proper seat and a drink instead of hovering at a gate, this is the default option.

Food is standard Chili’s fare: fajitas, burgers, chicken strips, and quesadillas, with mains usually landing in the 220–350 MXN range. Portions are US-style large, so one entrée can easily cover two light eaters before a 3–4 hour flight. If you’re watching time, stick to burgers, quesadillas, or chicken tenders; anything grilled on a skillet can drag your wait to 25–30 minutes when the room is full.

Service speed tracks flight banks. When three US departures cluster around 15:00, ordering just drinks and shared appetizers is the safest play if boarding starts in under 45 minutes. Ask for the check when your mains arrive; staff handle multiple tables at once, and card processing can add another 5–10 minutes. They accept major credit cards and pesos; some servers also offer to convert to USD at the table, which usually means a weaker rate.

One practical tip: glance at the bar before sitting. If the counter seats are mostly free but tables are packed, grab a bar stool; orders from the bar typically hit the system and your glass 5–10 minutes faster than from a four-top in the middle of the room.
