Carl’s Jr

Only U.S.-style burgers airside in PVR

Carl’s Jr sits past security in Terminal A and fills the gap for anyone craving a straight-ahead American burger instead of one more taco or ceviche before departure. You’ll see it on the main airside concourse along the same stretch as the other fast-food brands, within a 5–7 minute walk of most A-gates.

Menu is the standard Carl’s Jr lineup: charbroiled burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, and breakfast items during morning departures before roughly 11:00. Expect prices higher than street-side Mexico but in line with airport U.S. chains, with combo meals typically landing in the 150–230 MXN range depending on size and add-ons.

If you want something familiar, the Famous Star–style burger with fries is the baseline order and usually comes out within 10–15 minutes, even when a couple of flights are boarding. Portions track pretty closely to what you’d see at a Carl’s Jr in the States, and sodas come in large fountain cups that play well with a long wait at an A-gate.

Seating is limited to a small bank of tables plus shared concourse seating, so during banked departures around midday it can be hard to find a dedicated chair. Figure on grabbing a tray and walking 50–100 meters back toward your gate area to eat if every table is occupied.

There’s no table service; you order at the counter, take a buzzer or listen for your number in Spanish and English, and pick up at the pass. Card payment in MXN is standard, and many travelers report their U.S. credit cards work fine without needing cash, though your bank will set the exchange rate.

Tip: if you’re choosing between snacks at the gate and something real, hit Carl’s Jr right after clearing security in Terminal A, before you get pulled into duty-free and the souvenir shops near the gates.
