Gate-side sugar fix in T2
Right in Terminal T2, Krispy Kreme is the easiest grab-and-go sugar hit in PTY if you’re walking between Copa gates. It’s post-security, so you can pick up a box after immigration and still make a tight connection. The counter format keeps things quick: order, pay, and you’re out in under 5 minutes unless a big flight to Bogotá or São Paulo just dumped a crowd.
Prices run higher than downtown Panama City: expect about US$1–1.50 per classic doughnut and US$2–3 for specialty flavors, with small coffee landing around US$2. That’s still cheaper than many full-service spots in T2, and it beats paying bar prices for a snack. You pay in USD or local balboas, cards accepted, and receipts come fast enough to keep corporate-expense people happy.
The core lineup shows up here: original glazed, chocolate iced, filled options, and occasional limited flavors tied to local holidays or Copa promotions. If you’re boarding a 6:00 a.m. departure, the original glazed is usually the safest bet; it handles airport holding times better than anything with heavy filling or frosting. Skip anything that looks dull or dried at the edges; turnover depends on the flight bank, not a constant baking cycle.
Drinks are basic: drip coffee, simple espresso-based drinks, bottled water, and sodas in 330–600 ml sizes. This is not third-wave coffee, but if you just cleared security from a red-eye into T2, a medium hot coffee here beats hunting for something fancier at the far end of the terminal. Figure 10–15 minutes from ordering to walking to a mid-30s gate with your box still warm.
Tip: grabbing a dozen works well for crew or group travel; just ask for a sturdy takeaway box and napkins so it survives the walk across T2.
