Air Margaritaville Panama

T2

Gate-side margaritas in T2 at Air Margaritaville Panama

Right in Terminal T2 at Tocumen, Air Margaritaville Panama sits on the concourse with full table service and a bar, so you can watch boarding zones get called while you eat. It’s post-security, so this works for any Copa or other T2 departure with at least 45 minutes to spare.

Menu is classic American bar food with some Tex-Mex: burgers, quesadillas, wings, and tacos, with most mains running in the US$12–20 range. Portions run large by airport standards, so one entrée plus an appetizer is usually enough for two light eaters on a layover.

The bar leans into its name with multiple margarita flavors, local Balboa and Panamá beers, and basic spirits. Expect cocktails around US$10–14 and beer in the US$5–7 range. It’s one of the few sit-down spots in PTY’s T2 where you can get a freshly mixed drink instead of just canned options.

Service pace varies with the departure banks out of T2; during Copa waves it can take 15–25 minutes for food to hit the table. If your boarding pass shows a tight 40-minute connection, this is a drink-only stop, not a full meal. Staff are usually good about checking your gate and giving a realistic time estimate.

There’s a mix of bar stools with power outlets and regular tables without plugs, so charge at the bar if your phone is under 30%. TVs over the bar usually run ESPN or soccer, and volume stays low enough that gate announcements for nearby T2 gates are easy to hear.

Tip: If your flight leaves from a far T2 gate, ask the server to bring the check as soon as food arrives; that saves 5–10 minutes and keeps you from sprinting down the concourse with a to-go box.
