VIP Parking

Official

Daily rates at VIP Parking run higher than nearby private lots.

VIP Parking is the official parking area for Tocumen International Airport (PTY), serving both T1 and T2, so you park directly on airport property. That location cuts out shuttle guesswork and keeps walking time to the terminals short compared to off-site options. It’s a simple setup: drive in, take a ticket, park, and walk to check-in.

Pricing is by the day, and recent reports put official on-airport parking at a premium over independent lots a few minutes away on Corredor Sur. You pay for proximity, not extras. No membership or airline status perks here; everyone pays the same posted rate at the exit barrier. Keep cash or a working card ready, as payment is due when you drive out.

VIP Parking is open 24 hours a day to match PTY’s late-night and early-morning departures. That matters on the Panama–US and Panama–South America banks that push arrivals and departures past midnight. If your flight out of T1 at 01:30 or into T2 at 05:00 slips schedule, you’re not stuck waiting on a lot that closes overnight.

Security presence is standard for an official airport lot, with controlled entry and exit and patrols tied into PTY’s broader operations. You won’t find assigned spaces, covered parking, or EV chargers called out in official materials, so treat it as open-air, general-use parking rather than a premium tech-heavy facility.

Tip: On busy holiday weekends and mid-morning banks, arrive at least 30 minutes earlier than usual to allow time to find a space and walk from VIP Parking to your T1 or T2 check-in counters.
