T1

Espace Madras sits airside in T1 with classic Guadeloupe gifts

This small souvenir shop in Terminal T1 focuses on Guadeloupe-themed items you can grab after security, so you’re not juggling bags during check-in. It’s one of the main spots in Maryse Condé International Airport (PTP) to pick up last-minute mementos before boarding regional flights with Air Caraïbes or Air France.

Stock leans heavily local: think madras-patterned textiles, island postcards, and basic souvenirs branded “Guadeloupe” rather than generic Caribbean merch. Prices run typical airport-level, with small keychains and magnets starting a few euros and going up for larger textiles and gift sets. It’s all quick-browse, stand-up shelving, not a place you linger for long.

Expect standard daytime hours aligned with T1 departures, roughly from early-morning banks around 06:00 through the last evening flights, though opening can track the Air Caraïbes schedule. If you’re on a late-arriving regional hop, don’t count on it staying open much past the final boarding calls in T1.

Best use case: you left town without souvenirs and have 10–15 minutes near your gate. Grab small items that pack flat, like a madras scarf or tea towel, instead of bulky decor that fights for space in an overhead bin. Liquids and fragile pieces are limited here, so don’t expect a big rum or glassware section.

Practical tip: stop at Espace Madras after you clear security in T1; prices won’t be cheaper landside, and you won’t have to haul extra bags through the queues.
