Dufry sits airside in T1, just past security checks
This is the main duty free option in Terminal T1 at Maryse Condé International Airport, open 7 days a week from 6:00 a.m. until the last evening departure. It’s right in the passenger flow after security, so you’ll walk by it on the way to most gates. The layout is standard walk-through: you enter from the security side and exit toward the boarding areas.
As a duty free shop, Dufry leans on regional rum, French spirits, perfume, cosmetics, and chocolate, all priced in euros. You’ll find the usual international brands plus some Guadeloupe and Caribbean bottles that are easier to grab here than in town before an early-morning 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. flight. Tobacco and basic travel essentials (snacks, water, last‑minute chargers) round out the shelves.
Expect typical airport pricing rather than big bargains; liquor can be competitive versus downtown shops, especially on larger 1L bottles. Remember liquid rules on connections: if you’re connecting beyond PTP, ask for STEBS security bags so your 750ml or 1L bottles have a better chance of getting through the next screening. Staff usually switch to English easily, but French is the default at the counter.
One practical tip: if your flight leaves after 9:00 p.m., don’t assume last‑minute shopping. The posted hours say “until the last flight,” but in smaller Caribbean airports that can mean shutters come down once the final big departure at a given bank is boarded. If you care about a specific bottle or perfume, shop right after clearing security instead of waiting for the boarding call.
