Currency Exchange Kiosk

1

Terminal 1 flyers get one on-airport place for cash: Currency Exchange Kiosk.

This small counter sits landside in Terminal 1, used mainly by passengers arriving without złoty or heading into town by taxi. It trades major currencies into Polish złoty and back, so you can swap leftover PLN to EUR or USD before departure. Hours roughly track daytime flight banks; expect it open for the first morning departures and closed late at night once the last wave goes out.

Rates here run noticeably weaker than what you get from an ATM in Poznań city, but you’re paying for the location inside Terminal 1. The kiosk handles common currencies like EUR, USD, GBP and CHF; anything exotic is hit-or-miss and depends on what they have in the drawer that day. There’s usually only one staffer, so a short queue at peak departures can move slowly.

Card cash-advance fees from foreign ATMs can sting more than a few bad percentage points on an exchange spread, so some travelers still use this kiosk for small amounts: 50–200 PLN for a taxi, tram tickets, and a first meal. If you’re changing back to euros, the gap between buy and sell rates can eat into anything under 20–30 EUR.

Tip: If your card works in Poland, pull most of your cash from an airport or city ATM and use the Currency Exchange Kiosk only to clean up odd leftover notes before flying out of Terminal 1.
