Gate-side gifts and gadgets at Imaginarium
Imaginarium sits airside in Porto Alegre’s Terminal 1, so you can pop in after security without backtracking. It’s a compact walk-in shop focused on designy gifts and travel accessories rather than snacks or magazines. Expect shelves packed tight with colorful mugs, LED gadgets, novelty cushions, small speakers, and phone accessories, all branded in the usual Imaginarium style you see in malls across Brazil.
Most small items land in the R$40–R$90 range, with larger pieces like backpacks and Bluetooth speakers running R$150–R$300. Card payments are standard, and staff usually round up prices clearly on a small counter display. You won’t find duty-free tobacco or perfume here; think impulse gifts and quirky travel gear instead. Figure 5–10 minutes for a quick lap of the store before boarding starts.
Stock tends to mirror city locations: LED lamps shaped like clouds, power banks around 5,000–10,000 mAh, cable organizers, and travel pillows with loud prints. Quality sits above street-market souvenirs but below premium design brands. If you need a last‑minute birthday present before a GOL or Azul hop out of Terminal 1, this is one of the few spots in POA that can actually deliver something fun in that price band.
Tip: If you’re tight on time, walk straight to your gate in Terminal 1 first, then double back; Imaginarium is usually within a 3–5 minute walk of most domestic gates, so you won’t miss a boarding call while comparing mugs.
