Casa do Turista

Cafe prices without cafe seating, near gates in Terminal 1

Casa do Turista sits airside in Terminal 1 at Porto Alegre (POA), close enough to the main domestic gates that you can walk there in under 5 minutes from most boarding areas. It functions more like a kiosk than a full shop, so think quick grab-and-go instead of browsing for half an hour.

This spot focuses on souvenirs and small travel needs, not full meals. Expect Brazil-themed magnets, keychains, mugs, and basic accessories typically priced in the R$20–R$80 range, plus some regional snacks you can throw into a carry-on. Stock shifts a bit by season, but it generally covers the usual “I forgot a gift” moments for friends or family.

Hours track with the main bank of flights in Terminal 1, usually opening by around 06:00 and staying open until late evening departures. You will find it after security, so this is not an option for anyone waiting outside check-in in Terminal 1 or coming from Terminal 2 without re-clearing. Plan your visit before you sit down for boarding, as staff sometimes start closing procedures early on very quiet late-night banks.

There is no real reason to trek from Terminal 2 just for Casa do Turista, given similar souvenir pricing downtown in Porto Alegre. Use it as a last-chance stop: grab one small gift, pay quickly, and head back to your gate with at least 10–15 minutes buffer before boarding starts.
