Haldiram's

Paneer tikka rolls at Haldiram's beat another sad NITB sandwich

Haldiram's sits airside in Pune’s NITB terminal, past security and a 3–4 minute walk from most domestic gates. It’s one of the few branded Indian chains here, so the menu is predictable if you’ve tried Haldiram’s in Delhi or Mumbai. Think chaats, snacks, quick mains and sweets you can grab between IndiGo and Vistara departures.

Prices run mid-range for an airport: expect around ₹150–₹220 for chaats like pani puri or bhel, and ₹200–₹280 for filling items such as chole bhature or pav bhaji. Packaged namkeens and sweets usually sit in the ₹100–₹300 bracket, depending on box size. Card and UPI payments both work, which helps when you’ve already burned through your cash at the cab stand.

For a fast bite before an evening flight, the paneer tikka roll and chole bhature are the safest bets; they usually come out under 10–12 minutes. If you’re flying early, samosas and kachori typically hit the counter by around 7:00–7:30 a.m., so you’re not stuck with only packaged chips. The sweets counter carries classics like rasgulla and gulab jamun if you want something sugar-heavy before a late-night departure.

Seats are limited and close to the main NITB concourse, so it gets noisy around boarding calls for the bank of flights between 8:00–10:00 p.m. Portions run smaller than high-street Haldiram’s outlets, which is standard airport behavior. Food comes on disposable plates, so don’t expect restaurant-level presentation, just functional and fast enough to make a 30–40 minute connection.

Tip: order, then grab a nearby shared table and watch the overhead screens; it’s easy to miss a gate change for your PNQ departure once the chai and chaat show up.
