FlyerTalk’s PLS guide lists one main car park, nothing else
The “Unpaved Overflow Lot” at Providenciales (PLS) shows up on some maps, but FlyerTalk threads going back to 2010 only mention a single paved car park in front of the Main terminal. No one reports being sent to a dirt or gravel overflow, even during weekend crunch times when several US flights arrive within a 2–3 hour window.
TripAdvisor discussions from before and after the terminal renovation reference the curb, taxis, and the main lot by the entrance, but zero posts describe parking in an unpaved area or walking in from a secondary field. If this overflow lot exists, it’s not part of the normal passenger routine and doesn’t show up in user reports from 2018, 2020, or 2023.
There are also no complaints about mud, dust, or long walks from a distant gravel area tied to PLS, unlike many Caribbean airports where those issues get called out quickly. Reviews instead focus on curbside crowding and short-term use of the primary paved lot directly in front of the Main terminal building.
Regulars on TripAdvisor say that when the front area clogs up around mid-day bank flights, they skip parking entirely and move to taxis or hotel shuttles from Grace Bay and Leeward. That pattern suggests any “Unpaved Overflow Lot” is either staff/operational, gated, or marginal enough that even repeat visitors don’t reference it.
Practical tip: Plan as if only the main paved car park and curb are viable for passengers; if you’re driving yourself and it looks full, go straight to plan B (hotel shuttle, taxi, or drop-off) rather than hunting for an unsigned overflow area.
