Main Public Car Park

Short-term

$25 per day buys the only real parking at PLS

Main Public Car Park sits directly in front of the Main terminal at Providenciales International Airport, with a walk that’s usually under 1 minute from the furthest row to check-in. This is a small, open-air lot, not a big multi-level garage, and it’s essentially the airport’s single parking option for short stays and overnight trips.

Pricing is flat and easy: about $2 per hour, $25 per day, or $175 per week, all in the same general lot. There are no premium rows, no reserved sections, and no separate long-term area; you pull into the same spaces whether you’re parking for 2 hours or 7 days. That simplicity makes quick mental math easy when you’re deciding to leave the car for a long weekend.

Payment is card-only at the exit barrier, with no option for cash, which catches some visitors who expect to use small bills. Have a working debit or credit card ready before you pull up to the pay machine, since backing out of the short exit lane when a card fails can be awkward in a tight space.

The forecourt in front of the terminal can feel clogged at peak times as taxis, hotel shuttles, and private cars all share the same small access road. That congestion spills toward the entrance and exit of the Main Public Car Park, so give yourself extra time during Saturday or Sunday afternoon departure banks, when terminal lines and curb traffic both spike.

Regulars often skip loops of the congested curb and instead agree to meet friends or hotel drivers just outside the terminal doors, then walk together the few seconds back to the parked car. One last tip: build a 10–15 minute buffer in case the pick-up area is chaotic, even though the walk from the lot itself is only about 60 seconds.
