Duty Free Shop

No duty-free sales operate anywhere in Perpignan T1

Perpignan–Rivesaltes (PGF) runs a single terminal, T1, and there is no Duty Free Shop in the building. SleepingInAirports calls it out bluntly: duty-free shopping is not available here, and that matches recent flyers who saw only a standard bar and snack counter airside.

Even on international flights to other Schengen airports, travellers report no duty-free cart, kiosk, or branded store. One Skytrax reviewer noted surprise that boarding started at a simple ground-level gate with just a vending machine nearby and still no duty-free shelves in sight.

Regulars who pass through PGF a few times a year say they now treat the airport like a small domestic field. They buy tax‑paid alcohol, perfume, and cigarettes in Perpignan city or at bigger hubs like Paris CDG or Barcelona, then connect onward, never expecting duty‑free pricing or gift packs here.

Watch out for the assumption that “every European airport has duty‑free after security” — PGF is one of the exceptions, and the only retail you’ll see airside is basic snacks and drinks. If you want tax‑free or branded travel exclusives, plan that purchase at your origin or next connection, not in Perpignan.

Tip: build 10 extra minutes into your trip to stop at a supermarket or city shop for any bottles or gifts; once you reach T1 PGF, your options drop to bar prices and standard packaged snacks only.
