T3’s international lounge puzzle at Perth is this Qantas space

In Terminal T3 at Perth (PER), the Qantas International Transit Lounge is the Qantas-branded answer to what many flyers still call the generic “Perth International Lounge.” It sits airside in T3, used for international departures, and mainly catches Qantas and oneworld premium traffic heading to Asia or the east coast domestic connection after a long overnight.

The lounge runs 24/7, which matters on late-night and early-morning waves that hit T3 around redeyes and first banks. Access is limited to Qantas premium cabin passengers and Qantas Club members on eligible flights, so entry is not something you can buy at the door on a whim. If you’re flying another carrier out of T1, this T3 lounge won’t help you, as terminals at PER are split between T1, T2, T3, and T4 with airside separation.

Expect the standard Qantas lounge playbook more than a boutique international setup. Seating is mostly open-plan armchairs and dining tables, enough for a few widebody departures but tight if two 787s hit at once. Food normally rotates through simple hot dishes and salads; think self-serve rather than plated dining, and plan on eating properly in Perth city if you’re picky about quality.

Drinks follow a familiar Qantas formula with house Australian wines, basic spirits, and beer available at no extra charge once you’re inside. Coffee is usually from a machine outside peak times and may switch to a staffed coffee station when the evening bank of flights builds. If you care about a decent flat white, aim for the busier windows when baristas are more likely to be on.

Showers are the main functional draw on longer connects, especially if you’ve come off a domestic sector into T3 to continue overseas. With 24/7 hours, you can grab a shower at 02:00 between red‑eyes instead of hunting for facilities in the general T3 concourse. Towels and basic toiletries are usually included, so you can keep liquids in your checked bag.

One practical tip: build in at least 10–15 extra minutes if you’re walking from elsewhere in PER to T3, since the airport spreads international operations across T1 and T3 and signage can send tired travelers the wrong way at night.
