Hainan’s Fortune Wings Lounge sits airside in PEK Terminal 2
This is the main Hainan Airlines lounge in T2 at Beijing Capital (PEK), serving international and domestic passengers on Fortune Wings carriers after security. If you’re flying Hainan out of Terminal 2, this is the default option instead of waiting at the gate area.
The lounge usually opens roughly 2–3 hours before the first Hainan departure in T2 and stays open into the late-evening bank, so early-morning and 22:00 flights are generally covered. Check your exact flight day, because smaller banks in the middle of the day can mean lighter staffing and a more basic spread.
Seating runs in standard rows of armchairs with small side tables, with power outlets scattered between seats rather than at every chair. Expect typical China T2 views of the apron and taxiway, not runway-front glass like in T3. Wi‑Fi uses the airport’s system, so plan on scanning your passport or using your Chinese mobile number to register.
Food skews to simple buffet items: noodles, fried rice, a couple of hot trays that change during the day, plus packaged snacks. Don’t bank on strong vegetarian or gluten-free options; packs of instant noodles and cookies show up more reliably than salads. Morning visits usually see congee and a few steamed buns; after 11:00, the line shifts toward stir‑fried dishes and basic hot meat items.
Drinks focus on soft drinks, tea, and basic coffee from a machine, with a small fridge for canned soda and bottled water. Alcohol, if stocked, tends to mean a couple of local beers and one or two simple spirits, nothing like a long international bar list. If you care about coffee quality, grab something from a cafe in T2 before coming in and use the lounge mainly as a seat with power and Wi‑Fi.
Showers may not always be available or staffed during quieter periods, and queues can appear in the evening departure waves after about 18:00. Restrooms are inside the lounge, which saves a walk back into the terminal during a tight 60‑minute connection.
Practical tip: if your Hainan flight leaves from a remote stand, aim to leave the Fortune Wings Lounge at least 40 minutes before departure, since T2 bus-boarding gates can involve a long walk plus a 10–15 minute bus ride.
