Air China Domestic Lounge

T3C’s main Air China Domestic Lounge sits above the central atrium

This Air China lounge sits in Terminal 3C airside, up one level from the main domestic departures hall near the central security area. It mainly serves Air China and Star Alliance domestic passengers, so expect mostly China trunk routes like PEK–SHA and PEK–CTU on the departure boards. Signage in T3 points to “Air China Domestic Lounge” after you clear security; follow the escalator up and look for the CA logo.

The lounge usually opens early morning to match the first domestic departures around 06:00 and runs until the late-night bank of flights around 23:00. It’s past security, so you can head here straight after ID checks and the T3 domestic security lanes. Figure on 5–10 minutes walking time from most 3C gates if you’re at something like C09 or C16, and a bit more if you’re coming from 3D or 3E via the people-mover.

Seating is mostly standard armchairs in rows, with a few worktable-style setups closer to the windows looking out toward gates in the C pier. Power outlets are Chinese standard socket types, so plan on a universal adapter if you’re coming off an international flight from T3E or T3D with only EU/US plugs. Wi‑Fi uses the airport’s free network with SMS or passport registration; expect speeds good enough for email and chat, not huge downloads.

Food usually runs to basic buffet options: a couple of hot Chinese dishes, simple soups, and snack items like packaged biscuits and nuts, similar to what you’d find in other CA domestic lounges in Chengdu or Shanghai. Soft drinks and tea sit in fridges or on urn stands, with canned sodas and bottled water rather than bar service. Don’t expect made-to-order items or premium coffee; think self-serve machine coffee and tea bags in paper envelopes with sugar sachets on the counter.

Showers are not consistently available here, so if you need one after a long-haul into PEK before a domestic hop, plan on using facilities in T3E or your arriving airline’s international lounge instead. Restrooms sit within the lounge, but you might still prefer the main terminal toilets near gates C08–C10 if the lounge is crowded before big bank departures.

Practical tip: build in an extra 10–15 minutes to walk back from the lounge to the more distant C-gates like C20–C30, since boarding in PEK domestic often starts a full 30 minutes before scheduled departure.
