Gate C area in T3 puts this PhoenixMiles lounge close to most Air China departures
This is the Air China PhoenixMiles Lounge in Terminal 3C, inside security and used mainly by Air China premium and elite passengers on international and some regional flights. It sits in the central 3C cluster, so walking time from many Air China gates averages 5–10 minutes. If your boarding pass shows a 3D or 3E gate, budget closer to 15 minutes back to the aircraft.
The lounge usually opens early in the morning, around the first wave of departures near 06:00, and often stays open until the late-night flights around 23:00. Check the exact time on the day, since hours can shift with the schedule. Entry is via eligible Air China or Star Alliance status; this is not a Priority Pass or pay-at-the-door spot. Staff scan both your passport and boarding pass at the front desk, and you go up one level from the 3C concourse.
Seating runs along large windows facing the T3 apron, so you get direct views of widebodies parked on the 3C gates. Power outlets are the usual Chinese three-prong type, with a fair number of universal sockets sprinkled between chairs, roughly one outlet shared between two seats. Wi‑Fi is the standard Beijing Capital airport network, which still needs a code from your passport scan or a Chinese mobile number at PEK; speeds around 5–10 Mbps are common when the lounge is half full.
Food is mostly hot Chinese dishes plus some basic Western items. Expect rice, noodles, a couple of meat options, steamed buns, and soup, refreshed around typical mealtimes: breakfast changeover around 07:30–08:00, lunch shift near 11:30, and dinner around 18:00. Western options run to bread, small sandwiches, and packaged snacks. Drinks cover canned soft drinks, bottled water, tea, and coffee from machines; alcohol is usually limited to a few beers and simple spirits, with no serious wine list.
Showers sit near the restrooms toward the back of the lounge, and there are only a handful of them, so ask at check-in if you land in the morning wave between 06:00 and 09:00. Cleanliness tracks with how busy the 3C banks of departures are; mid-afternoon between 14:00 and 16:00 tends to be the quietest stretch. Use the flight information screens inside the lounge rather than relying on announcements; many international flights boarding from T3C start calling groups about 30–35 minutes before departure, so set an alarm and leave on the early side.
