The tap beer and wine list run all day until 6pm
The Beach Shack sits airside in T1 after security, so you’re already through screening before you hit the bar. It trades daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm, covering late breakfasts, lunch, and that pre-boarding drink window for afternoon departures. Expect café-by-day, bar-by-afternoon energy, with service geared around the mid-morning and mid-afternoon bank of flights.
As a café · bar at Gold Coast Airport, prices land in the $$ range for an airport: coffee around what you’d pay in town plus a dollar or two, and standard bar pours and tap beer sitting in the mid-teens. Food runs to simple café standards that work for a quick sit-down before a domestic hop or a short trans-Tasman leg.
Seating looks out toward the T1 apron, so you can keep one eye on the bar tab and one on your boarding gate screens. Because it’s post-security, The Beach Shack mainly draws passengers already checked in, which keeps turnover high between about 11:00am and 3:00pm. Outside those peaks you can usually find a table and plug in for a short laptop session.
Staff serve both bar drinks and espresso, so you can grab a flat white and a snack box at 10:15am or shift to a glass of wine and chips at 5:30pm before an evening departure. Food is more about speed than ceremony; think things that come out quickly so you’re not clock-watching as boarding time creeps closer.
Tip: the kitchen and bar shut right on 6:00pm, so if your flight leaves after that, order something by 5:30pm or plan to eat on board or before security instead.
