Amcal+ Express sits airside in T1 after security, handy if you realise at 5:30am that you forgot motion sickness tablets or sunscreen. It runs 5:00am to 7:00pm on weekdays and 6:00am to 7:00pm on weekends, so it usually opens before the first bank of departures and stays open through the evening commuter runs.

This is a pharmacy first, not a snack shop, and prices sit in the airport “$” bracket rather than gift-shop shock. You’ll find basic prescription services, over-the-counter pain relief, cold and flu meds, and travel-size toiletries within a short walk of most T1 gates. It’s one of the few spots in the terminal where you can fix a missing asthma puffer or antihistamine without leaving the secure area.

Health and travel gear take up most of the shelves: think SPF 50+ sunscreen for the Gold Coast sun, earplugs for a 3-hour flight, compression socks, lip balm, and basic first-aid items. Being inside T1, stock focuses on quick-need items rather than full supermarket ranges, so expect a solid core of pharmacy lines, not niche wellness brands or large family packs.

The shop usually winds down around 7:00pm, so don’t bank on grabbing last-minute meds before a late departure. Since it’s post-security only, you can’t use it for a pre-flight prescription pickup if you’re meeting someone landside. Use it instead as a backstop for those “left it on the bathroom counter at home” moments an hour before boarding.
