5–7 minutes’ walk from T1, P7 is the long-stay workhorse
P7 Parkplatz sits a short walk from Nuremberg Airport’s T1, and it’s set up for trips that run more than a couple of days. It’s an open-air, long-stay surface lot, so you park your own car, keep your keys, and walk to the terminal in roughly 5–7 minutes depending on your pace. No shuttle timing to stress over, just pick a marked space and roll your bag in.
This is one of NUE’s official airport car parks, signed as P7 Langzeit on airport approach roads around Flughafenstraße. Being on-airport means entry and exit use the same ticket or QR code system as the other NUE car parks, with barriers at both ends and payment machines near the pedestrian routes back to T1. Pre‑booking online usually gets a better day rate than just driving up to the barrier.
P7 runs 24/7, in step with Nuremberg Airport’s first and last flights, so overnight arrivals after 23:00 or very early departures around 05:00 are fine. Lighting covers the rows, and pedestrian paths lead you back toward the main terminal forecourt. Because it’s surface parking, spaces for taller vehicles and estate cars are much easier than in some of the multistorey options closer to T1.
Pricing at P7 typically sits in the long-stay bracket, with per-day rates dropping noticeably once you hit multi-day or weekly stays. If you’re on a 7–14 day holiday, it often undercuts the short-term garages by a decent margin over the full period. Payment works via card or cash at the machines by T1 or via pre-paid reservation if you booked in advance on the airport website.
Practical tip: snap a photo of your row number and the nearest P7 exit sign on arrival; in the dark after a 22:30 landing, that picture saves a few extra laps with your suitcase.
