30-second covered walk to T1 from P1 Parkhaus
P1 Parkhaus is the short-stay garage directly opposite Terminal T1 at Nuremberg Airport, with a covered walkway that puts you at the doors in under a minute. It’s a multi-storey structure, fully indoors, so your car stays under a roof the entire time. This is the closest car park to departures and arrivals, and it mainly serves drop-offs, pickups, and very short trips.
This garage is intended for short stays measured in hours or a couple of days, not week-long holidays. Tariffs usually start with a higher hourly rate in the first 24 hours, then add a daily cap, so check the current price table before you pull a ticket. If you’re parking for more than two or three days, P2 or a long-term lot often works out cheaper than keeping the car in P1 Parkhaus.
P1 Parkhaus sits on the terminal access road right in front of T1, so you can drive in, park, and be at check-in desks within about 2–3 minutes total. Height restrictions apply because it’s a covered garage, so taller vehicles and vans may not fit; look for the posted clearance sign at the entrance ramp. Payment is usually via pay stations by the pedestrian exits and at the vehicle exit barriers, with machines taking cards and cash.
This garage works best for quick business trips of 1–2 days, evening returns, or meeting arriving passengers whose flight might be delayed by 30–60 minutes. For a quick pickup, park in P1, walk over to arrivals in T1, and pay at the machine on your way back to the car so you can exit the barrier without holding up the line.
