Near the T2 LCC counters, this is the “not Starbucks” option
Standard Coffee by ROYAL sits airside in Terminal 2, past security and close to the low-cost carrier gates, and runs from 11:00 to 20:00. It’s one of the few spots in NGO’s T2 that feels like a standalone coffee bar instead of a big franchise, which is why people heading for Peach or Jetstar drift here instead of the green mermaid.
Prices land in the mid-range ($$): drip coffee, lattes, and soft drinks are a step up from the vending machines near check-in, and simple sandwiches and sweets fill the gap between snack and full meal. Multiple Google reviews call out the coffee as “decent,” especially compared with bottled or canned options from the lobby machines.
The wildcard on the menu is the Naan on Beef Curry, a full plate that actually works as a pre-flight lunch or early dinner. Figure on paying casual-café money rather than food-court cheap, but you’ll get a proper hot dish instead of another onigiri from the convenience store. If you just want something small, stick to the baked goods in the case by the register.
Service rhythm depends heavily on the LCC wave: several reviews describe slow lines when a couple of full A320s hit the gates at once. When that happens, drinks can take 10–15 minutes and hot food even longer, which matters if your boarding time is already showing on the screen behind the counter.
Tip: if you’re on a tight turn in T2, order drip coffee and a ready-made sandwich here instead of the curry; you’ll usually be out in under 5 minutes and still avoid the vending machines by the gates.
