Tram 3 runs from Terminal 2 out to Saint-Isidore
Tram Line 3 is the light-rail line that links Nice Airport’s Terminal 2 with Grand Arénas, Allianz Riviera and Saint-Isidore, serving staff and locals more than tourists heading to central Nice. The line starts at Aéroport Terminal 2 and terminates at Saint-Isidore, several kilometres inland on the western side of the city.
From Terminal 2, trams on Line 3 usually run every 10–15 minutes during the day and less often late evening, with typical daytime operating hours roughly 05:00 to around 00:00. The stop is outside arrivals at T2, and you can walk between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in about 10 minutes if needed, or use the free airport shuttle that links 1 and 2 in under 5 minutes.
A single ticket on Tram 3 costs around €1.70 on the Lignes d’Azur network, the same as other local trams and buses. Tickets are sold at orange or blue machines on the platform and must be validated once on board; fines for no validation can exceed €40. If you plan several rides in one day, the 24‑hour pass at about €5–€6 pays off after your third trip.
Tram 3 does not run to Place Masséna or the Old Town; that is Tram Line 2, which also serves Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Tram 3 instead branches off toward Allianz Riviera stadium and the Saint-Isidore district, making it more useful if you work around the stadium, live in the western suburbs, or need Grand Arénas offices or park-and-ride areas.
Step-by-step from Terminal 2: (1) Exit arrivals at T2 and follow signs for “Tram 2 / Tram 3” about 100–150 meters to the platforms. (2) Use the ticket machine to buy a “Solo” or day ticket; keep a credit card or a couple of €1 coins handy. (3) Check the platform screens and board the tram marked “L3 Saint-Isidore.” (4) Validate your ticket in the onboard validator within 1–2 minutes of boarding. (5) Ride to your stop, then exit using the two or three central doors.
For a straight shot to central Nice, pick Tram Line 2 from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 instead; use Tram 3 when your destination is Allianz Riviera, Grand Arénas, or Saint-Isidore and you already know exactly which stop you need.
