Bus 70

Local bus to Nice port

Local bus to Nice port

Bus 70 only really helps if you’re staying in Fabron

Bus 70 runs from Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport to Port Lympia, but it mainly serves the western Nice / Fabron corridor rather than the Promenade des Anglais hotels. It stops at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, then heads inland through residential areas before looping back toward the port. If your hotel or apartment is in Fabron or just off Boulevard René Cassin, this is the only direct public bus from the airport into that neighborhood.

Service runs daily with typical daytime headways around every 20–30 minutes, tapering off in the evening after roughly 20:00. The bus stops for Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are on the public road outside the terminals, not inside the dedicated airport tram area. Look for “Bus 70” on the digital display and “Port Lympia” as the end destination. From the airport to the port, travel time is usually 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic near Magnan and along the seafront.

A single ticket on Bus 70 uses the standard Lignes d’Azur fare, around €1.70 if bought from a ticket machine or on a contactless card, and it includes the usual 74-minute transfer window within the network. You can pay directly on board with contactless bank cards, or pick up a rechargeable card at airport ticket machines near Terminal 2’s tram station. There is no luggage surcharge, but space is just regular city-bus space, not luggage racks like you’d see on an airport coach.

Compared with Tram 2, which runs every few minutes from both terminals, Bus 70 is slower to most central hotel areas like Jean-Médecin or Old Nice. It makes sense if you’re staying near stops such as “Fabron Hôtel de Ville” or “La Bornala” and don’t want to transfer. For Old Town or the main train station, Tram 2 plus either a walk or a quick change to Tram 1 remains faster and simpler than riding Bus 70 all the way to Port Lympia and backtracking.

One practical tip: decide before exiting baggage claim whether Bus 70 actually lines up with your address. Drop your hotel or apartment into a map app and check if it sits directly on the Bus 70 route between Terminal 1 and Port Lympia; if not, skip it and head straight for Tram 2 at either T1 or T2 instead.
