Off-peak daytime Bolt rides from NCE often land under €20
Bolt runs at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport and usually undercuts standard taxis on price, especially for solo travelers or pairs. The trade-off is wait time: cars can take 10–20 minutes to show up at busy periods, compared with 2–5 minutes at central Nice pickup spots.
Pickups at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 happen outside the public arrivals areas, after customs, on the ground level. In T2, follow signs for "Dépose-Minute" and walk about 150–200 meters toward the car park, as many drivers stage near the P5 parking zone. In T1, you may need to cross one lane of traffic to meet at the outer curb, so keep roaming data on to follow the in‑app pin.
To central Nice (Place Masséna / Jean Médecin), Bolt fares during normal daytime often fall in the €18–€26 range, while late-night or peak-congestion pricing can push rides closer to €30–€35. The 7 km airport-to-center run usually takes 15–25 minutes by car, but summer traffic on the Promenade des Anglais can stretch that to 30 minutes or more.
From NCE to Monaco (about 30 km), Bolt often prices in the €60–€90 band depending on time and demand, which is still typically below the regulated flat-rate taxi fares posted at the taxi stands. Compared with the TER train from Nice-Ville at roughly €5–€6, Bolt only makes sense here if you value a direct hotel drop-off in Monaco and avoid hauling bags across two or three connections.
Bolt requires an active data connection and a verified payment method in the app, and many airport-side drivers at NCE rely on in-app chat rather than calls. Expect the car’s license plate and model to match the app exactly; NCE security and local police do random checks near the curb, especially around the T2 forecourt and P5 entrance, which can cause 3–5 minute delays while cars loop back.
Tip: if the live price spikes by more than €10 above the range you saw earlier, wait 5–10 minutes at the arrivals hall and refresh; demand often drops after a batch of flights at gates in T1 and T2 clears, and prices usually slide back down.
