Gate-side basics in Terminal 1
Just past security in Terminal 1, Travel Essentials is the quick stop for last-minute gear and small comforts before your NAP departure. You’ll see it along the main airside corridor used for most Schengen and non-Schengen gates, so you don’t have to double back far from your path to the aircraft.
Stock rotates a lot, but you’ll usually find standard travel items: EU plug adapters, charging cables, basic headphones, neck pillows, eye masks, and small umbrellas, all at typical airport markups of about 20–40% above city prices. Snacks lean toward packaged sweets and crisps rather than full meals, so think backup fuel, not dinner.
Expect standard airport opening hours that roughly track the first and last wave of flights in Terminal 1, so early-morning departures around 06:00 and late-night departures close to 22:00 are usually covered. If you land late and connect onward the same evening, this is often one of the few shops still trading on the concourse.
Card payments are widely accepted here, including major credit cards and contactless; it’s a reasonable place to burn a few leftover euro coins on under-€10 items like toothpaste, lip balm, or a spare pen before leaving Italy through NAP’s Terminal 1.
Tip: if you need tech or hygiene basics, stop at Travel Essentials right after security in Terminal 1 rather than waiting at the gate, where kiosks are thinner and prices can creep up another few euros.
