$50 here usually means the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge
In Nadi’s International terminal, “Priority Pass Lounge” access almost always routes you into the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge on the departures level. It runs 24/7, and you can get in either with Priority Pass or by buying a $50 day pass at the desk, even if you are flying economy on Fiji Airways or another carrier.
There is no separate transit lounge at NAN, despite some older references online. Transit passengers clear normal immigration and security, then head downstairs to the Fiji Airways lounge on the International departures side. Build at least 30–40 minutes from landing to sitting in the lounge if you are connecting off an inbound widebody flight.
This lounge pulls double duty as Fiji Airways’ business lounge and Priority Pass space, so crowds depend heavily on the long‑haul bank. When LAX, SFO, HKG and LHR flights bunch up in the late evening, FlyerTalk users report it can be “very crowded” with people standing to hunt for a seat. Outside that window, regulars describe it as relatively calm, especially in the mid‑day lull between the bigger departures.
Food gets better comments than drinks here. Reviews out of NAN call the hot buffet solid for an outstation, but the drink selection “mediocre” for a flagship lounge. Expect basic beer, wine and simple spirits rather than a deep cocktail list, and plan on eating at least one real meal in the lounge if your layover runs over 2–3 hours.
One FlyerTalk note mentions a “quiet lounge” space on the same ground level, between the Air New Zealand lounge and the Fiji Airways lounge. It functions more like an overflow/quiet zone than a full service lounge, and some transit passengers miss it completely and stay in the busier main room instead, especially during those big North America and Europe departure banks.
What regulars do: they time visits. If their layover overlaps the busy evening wave, they’ll grab a drink and a plate, then retreat to terminal cafés for an hour instead of fighting for seats. Many also save Priority Pass swipes and pay‑in access here, and rely on status or business‑class boarding passes at NAN so they can use PP at pricier airports later in the trip.
- Practical tip: If you see two or more Fiji widebodies to the US/UK on the FIDS within 90 minutes of each other, expect the lounge to be packed and claim a seat before you hit the buffet.
