3–5 minutes on foot to Terminal 1 check-in
P7 Parkhaus sits directly across from Munich Airport Terminal 1, so you walk to check-in in roughly 3–5 minutes under cover the whole way. It’s a multi-storey garage, not an open lot, so your car stays under a roof during Bavaria’s winter snow or summer hail.
This is a classic close-in option for Terminal 1 flights, and it’s signed as “P7” on all airport approach roads. You pull a ticket at the barrier, park in any open bay on your level, then pay at the machines near the pedestrian exits before you drive out. Elevators and stairs connect each level to the Terminal 1 pedestrian bridge.
P7 usually prices above the more distant long-term lots, reflecting its short walk to Terminal 1, but still below the premium terminal-front valet tiers. Booking in advance on the official Munich Airport system often shaves a noticeable amount off drive-up rates, especially in holiday periods and trade-fair weeks in Munich.
The garage layout uses clearly marked rows and color zones, but floors can still feel same-ish after a long trip. Snap a photo of your level and section number as you park; many regulars also drop a pin in their phone map right at their bay. Ticket machines accept major cards and cash in euros, which helps if you land late and shops in Terminal 1 already closed.
Lighting inside P7 stays on around the clock, which pairs well with Terminal 1’s early-morning departures and late-night arrivals. If you have a very early flight, aim for an arrival at the airport at least 2.5 hours before departure, giving yourself 10–15 minutes to park in P7, pay attention to your bay, and walk calmly into the Terminal 1 check-in hall.
