P1 is directly opposite Terminal 1’s main entrance
P1 Parkhaus sits right in front of Terminal 1 at Munich Airport, so you walk to check-in in about 2–4 minutes. It’s a classic short-term garage, mainly used for drop-offs, pick-ups, and quick meetings in the terminal. It’s multi-storey and covered, which helps in winter when MUC runs cold and wet.
This is short-stay pricing, not long-stay: think by-the-hour rates that add up fast after the first 24 hours. If your stop at MUC is under 3 hours, P1 usually pencils out against the hassle of the remote lots. Anything beyond a day and you’re almost always better off with one of the long-term Parkhäuser or the cheaper open-air car parks further from Terminal 1.
P1 is inside the central airport road loop, just off the arrivals level for Terminal 1, so you don’t need a shuttle bus or train. You drive straight into the garage, take the lift or stairs down, and cross the road to departures or arrivals. For Terminal 2 flights with Lufthansa or Star Alliance, you’re looking at roughly a 10–15 minute walk or a quick S‑Bahn hop from the station below the central area.
Payment is standard MUC: take a ticket at the entry barrier, then pay at one of the yellow or grey machines inside the building using cash or card before driving out. Keep the ticket handy; losing it triggers the full-day replacement fee that can be more than 50 EUR. Height limits apply in P1, so double-check before bringing vans or vehicles with roof boxes.
Tip: for anything longer than a same-day errand or a few hours’ terminal time at Terminal 1, price out P20 or the long-term options online first; advance online booking at Munich Airport often beats just pulling a ticket at P1’s barrier.
