P3 Parkhaus

Terminal 2 close-in

P3 is the closest multi-storey garage for Terminal 2

P3 Parkhaus sits directly next to Munich Airport Terminal 2, so walking time to check-in is around 3–6 minutes depending on your airline. It’s a covered, multi-level structure that keeps the car out of snow and summer sun. This is a true close-in option, not a shuttle lot, and it’s signed as “P3 Parkhaus” on the Terminal 2 approach roads.

Terminal 2 carriers like Lufthansa and most Star Alliance partners use this side of MUC, so P3 lines up well with those departures. You park, take the lift or stairs down, then follow the terminal walkway signs straight into T2. Compared with remote lots like P41 or P44, you’re saving a bus ride and around 10–20 minutes of buffer time each way.

P3 Parkhaus is a standard short- and long-stay car park with multi-day pricing that ramps down after the first 24 hours. Online prebooking through the official Munich Airport system usually costs less than drive-up daily rates posted at the entrance barrier. Because it’s covered, P3 can be a bit tighter on headroom than outdoor options, so double-check height limits at the entry sign if you’re driving an SUV with a roof box.

The garage connects only to Terminal 2, not Terminal 1, so factor in an extra 10–15 minutes if your ticket shows “Terminal 1” and you still choose to park here. That will mean either walking over or using the airport’s internal connections. Payment works via ticket machines inside the stairwells and lifts at P3, typically taking cards and cash before you drive out.

Tip: Book P3 online as “Terminal 2 Parkhaus P3” a few days ahead; same-garage reservations often price cheaper than pulling a ticket at the gate on the morning of your flight.
