Gate-side caffeine in Terminal B

This Starbucks sits airside in Terminal B at Monterrey International Airport (MTY), so you can grab coffee after security without doubling back to the check-in hall. It mainly serves Terminal B’s domestic and international traffic, and lines spike right after early-morning departures start boarding around 05:30–06:30.

Expect the full standard Starbucks menu here: espresso drinks, brewed coffee, Frappuccinos, and pastries. Prices run higher than city branches in Monterrey, with drinks often 20–30 MXN more than downtown stores. If you want something quick before a 07:00 flight, stick to drip coffee and a prepackaged pastry; custom drinks slow things down when there are more than 6–8 people in line.

Seating is limited directly around the counter, and many people end up walking their latte back toward B gates like B3–B6 to find a seat. Power outlets are hit-or-miss near the immediate seating cluster, so plan on charging at your actual gate instead of camping out here for an hour.

Payment is straightforward: they accept major cards in MXN and cash pesos, but don’t count on using US dollars or foreign Starbucks gift cards without hassle. Mobile order isn’t consistently supported the way it is in the US, so you order at the counter and wait for your name to be called, which can take 5–10 minutes during the pre-8 a.m. rush.

One practical tip: if your flight from Terminal B boards in 30 minutes or less, check the line first; if it’s wrapping beyond the main queue stanchions, grab bottled water and a snack from a nearby newsstand instead and save Starbucks for your next stop.
