Carl's Jr

A

By Gate A in MTY’s Terminal A, Carl’s Jr is the safest bet when you just want something familiar before a domestic hop. It sits airside in Terminal A, so you’re fine staying close to VivaAerobus, Aeroméxico Connect, and most domestic departures. Think standard US-style fast food: burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, breakfast items in the morning, all ordered at the counter and called by number.

You’re looking at roughly 120–200 MXN for a combo (burger, fries, drink), which is cheaper than most sit-down spots in MTY’s Terminal A. Portions match what you’d see at a US Carl’s Jr, and they don’t skimp on fries. Breakfast usually runs a bit less, around 90–130 MXN for a sandwich and coffee, and they flip to the regular menu by late morning.

Service runs on airport time: it can slow down around the 06:00–08:30 bank of departures and again from 17:00–20:00 when Terminal A gets busy. Lines form fast if two or three flights out of gates A1–A6 board around the same time. If your boarding pass says “final call” in 20 minutes, this is not a quick in-and-out; give it at least 15 minutes from order to first bite during peaks.

The menu leans heavy on burgers, including the classic Famous Star style build and local tweaks with jalapeños and extra salsa packets. Sides are the usual fries and onion rings, and drinks are fountain sodas plus bottled water. Portions are big enough that one large combo can easily get you through a 2–3 hour hop to Mexico City or Cancun without needing a second snack.

Tip: if your gate in Terminal A is at the far end (A8–A12), place your order, grab your drink, and keep an eye on the departure screens near the counter so you don’t miss a last-minute gate change while you wait for your tray.
