Terminal A’s 24-hour Maison Kayser is before security
This branch sits landside in Terminal A, so you can use it even if you’re meeting someone at MTY or arriving late and heading straight to a hotel. It runs 24 hours, which is rare at Monterrey International, and prices land in the mid-range $$ bracket compared with the fast-food options nearby.
Maison Kayser is a French-style café, so expect proper espresso drinks, pastries, and light meals rather than full steakhouse plates. You’ll see croissants and pain au chocolat in the MX$60–MX$90 range, plus sandwiches that usually clock in under MX$200. It’s one of the few places in Terminal A where you can sit with real tableware instead of balancing a paper bag at the gate.
Because it’s pre-security, you can grab breakfast here before a 06:00–07:00 departure and still have time to clear screening for domestic flights in A, B, or C. The 24-hour schedule also makes it a decent option if you land on a 01:30 red-eye and need coffee that isn’t from a vending machine. Plan at least 20–30 minutes if you want to sit down, since pastry cases can get busy around the morning bank.
Menu focus is classic French café: fresh bread, quiche-style options, and strong coffee rather than giant sugary frappes. If you want something that feels like a meal, aim for a sandwich on baguette instead of grabbing the smaller pastries; portion size lines up better with the prices. Being landside, alcohol options are limited compared with airside bars, so think cappuccino first, wine second.
Practical tip: because Maison Kayser is not post-security, finish your coffee and food before you join the security queue for Terminal A; liquids over 100 ml won’t make it through the MTY checkpoints.
