Italianni's

A

Gate-side Italian chain option in Terminal A

Right in Terminal A at MTY, Italianni's is the sit-down Italian option when you want more than a sandwich before a VivaAerobus or Aeroméxico flight. It sits airside, so you clear security first, then walk a few minutes from the A gates. Figure 45–60 minutes of buffer if you want a relaxed meal with table service instead of rushing pasta between boarding calls.

Food is standard mall-Italian: big plates of pasta, pizzas to share, plus salads and some grilled mains. Mains in pesos line up with mid-range airport pricing, roughly in the MXN $200–$350 band depending on dish and promotions. Portions run large enough for one hungry person or two lighter eaters to split a pizza and still walk to gate A6 or A8 without feeling overstuffed.

Drinks lean on the usual suspects: soft drinks, coffee, local beers, and house wine by the glass. Expect a beer or basic glass of red to land in the MXN $80–$140 range. That makes it a cheaper sit-down drink than many hotel bars near MTY, and you get an actual table instead of balancing a cup at the bar-style counters close to the A-side security exit.

Service pace varies with banked departures out of Terminal A, so a pasta and drink can be 25 minutes on a quiet mid-morning, or closer to 45 minutes during evening departures to Mexico City and Cancun. Staff usually handle card payments quickly, but always ask for the bill as soon as your main course lands if your boarding pass shows boarding in under 40 minutes.

One practical move: if your flight from Gate A2, A4, or A6 is delayed by 30 minutes or more, sit near the front of the dining area facing the corridor so you can watch gate screens without constantly walking back and forth to check your flight.
