Bus line to Marseille Saint-Charles runs straight from T1/T2
The airport bus to Marseille – Gare Saint-Charles runs from both terminals T1 and T2 and takes roughly 25–30 minutes into the city when traffic is light. This is the main direct public transport link between Marseille Provence Airport and the central train station, which connects to TGV and regional trains across France.
Tickets are sold at machines and counters in the arrivals area of Terminal 1, and also at machines near the bus stops outside T1 and T2. Expect pricing in the range of a standard airport express bus in France, with a small discount sometimes available for returns compared to two singles. Keep a card ready; some machines do not accept cash over €20 notes.
The bus stop for Marseille Saint-Charles is outside Hall B of T1 and by the main forecourt at T2, both clearly signed as the shuttle for “Gare Saint-Charles.” Buses run in both directions, so check the front display for “Marseille Gare Saint-Charles” before boarding. The driver usually scans or checks your ticket as you get on through the front door.
If your flight arrives into T2 on a low‑cost carrier, walking time to the bus bays is around 5–7 minutes door to door. From the Schengen arrivals belt in T1, you can be at the ticket machine and then at the stop in under 10 minutes if you have only hand luggage. Build a buffer of at least one full bus headway if you have checked bags.
The bus arrives at the dedicated airport stand beside Gare Saint-Charles, a short 2–3 minute walk to the main station hall and metro entrance. From there you can connect to Marseille metro lines M1 and M2, plus local buses and regional trains. If you have a tight TGV connection, aim to be on a bus leaving the airport at least 60 minutes before your train departure.
One simple tip: buy your ticket at the machine in the arrivals hall while you wait for checked luggage, so you can exit straight to the stop and grab the next bus without fumbling for payment at the last minute.
